Sadly, on Saturday, November 30th this unit, pulling eight cars of iron ore in Grant County, NM, near Bayard, derailed and rolled over down a 40 foot embankment killing all three crew members. Donald White, 38 of Silver City, NM. Steven Corse, 60 of Paulden, AZ and Ann Thomson, 50 also from Paulden, AZ all died. This shot was taken in Deming, NM on May 19th, 2013. All the crews were always very friendly on my visits there. My heart goes out to their families and co-workers. |
